What are Northern gardeners working on this late Easter weekend?
I am working on seedlings inside still---lots of petunias need transplanting to larger cells. Tomatoe seedlings need potting. If it warms up weather wise-will start cleaning up in the yard after winter. Starting seeds of Thunbergia and Four O'clocks.

Still indoor gardening but the snow and ice is only in spots now. But the ground is still far too mucky to do any outdoor cleaning. Trying to stay out of the beds so I don't tromp on anyone. I finally got the stone pads fixed right so I can trip through the garden (figuratively Rolling on the floor laughing ) like Eliza on the icebergs crossing the river and inspect to my heart's content. Will plant peas indoors today and am waiting a bit to transplant my tomatoes and cauliflower to pots from 6-paks. They are the healthiest I have ever had. Changing out the lights to new has made a great difference. Husband kept poo pooing but he is no gardener and he can't argue with the improvement. I bought an oscillating fan and may get another to keep a slight breeze to help with holding off damping off as well as to stregnthen the plants.

It was lightly snowing when I got up, we got maybe an inch, so it is indoors for me too. I have quite a few tiny Nemesia, Lavender, and Columbine seedlings, a few dayliles. I bought a couple of plants at a nursery, a Clematis-flowered Columbine, 'Clementine Red', and a 'Blue Heaven' Flutterby Petite butterfly bush, I knew if I waited until I could plant in the garden they would be sold out so I have then under the grow light. A fan is a good idea with tomatoes---it makes them grow sturdier stems.
Or you can run your hand across them to move them slightly.
It is good to buy what you see, as the garden centers soon get picked over.
