As much as I enjoy these May bloom pics it pleases me that my season starts later. July isn't far off. Guess it's all seasonal across the board with some cultivars coming early or going late. Beats snow and sand storms, always informative to see what blooms where and when.

At least 90% of the seedlings will be dogs and some bark a lot louder than others, that's the reason for planting so many each year.
Because of the harsh winter we are over a month behind with bloom, I normally start posting seedlings in April, and have completed hybridizing by June 7th or 8th. Nothing is blooming that I want to use so it will be a short season for seed production this year.
Thanks for the comments everyone, your too kind.

Fred - I really enjoy seeing your new crop of seedlings, and your thinking behind some of these crosses. It's interesting to see your use of 'Best Edge'. John Benz has been using 'Best Edge' a lot in his quest to produce large toothy edges. We owe Matthew Kaskel so much for his generosity in sharing such an important flower with his fellow hybridizers, never asking anything in return.
