We're going to get some rain tonight, hopefully ! I spread a little fertilizer on the tiny grass area we have left.
We had to drain the rain tank. It had icky muck on the top of the water. Hope we get a good shower to fill the tank again.

So far the rain seems to be going north and south of us as has been the pattern recently.

You may still get some rain. We just missed the first band this morning, but Lagrange was really getting pelted. The second band is here now. Just drizzling, but it's supposed to really pour this afternoon.
I hope you get some rain, porkpal. I know it's more important for your animals than it is for my roses. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

It's been raining here all morning! Just like everyone else, we needed it, too. We're happy to have it.

Glad you're getting rain, Dave! We're only getting "pineapple juice." It's that fine misty stuff that only causes accidents to
"grow!"

A few brief sprinkles here, not enough to get anything wet - all now going north of us...

NOAA shows we're supposed to have severe thunderstorms this afternoon. We'll see!

Did you know that we Austinites have done such a good job of conserving water the past year, the city is going to charge us more for water because they aren't collecting enough revenue? Sad

Nothing measurable for us. Angry I am glad my sprinkler came on this morning. I hope there is no drought this year. I hate whiny weathermen!

I have heard rainbarrels are illegal in some states/counties? because they divert water for the community to use

I believe that's Colorado, Anna. Did you have a lot of rain from the storm? Looked like Dallas area had a deluge. We're still waiting for our rain.

Rained all day long yesterday and last night had a huge storm. Woke up this morning to yet more storms with heavy rain and thunder. Everything outside is completely soaked with water everywhere.

Watching the doppler yesterday, I'm surprised to hear you all talking about missing the rain. It looked like half the state got soaked.

Yesterday It rained about an inch here in Goldthwaite, where we live, but not more than a few drops at the ranch ten miles away where we desperately need it. Maybe today!

Rain missed us too. No thunder, lightning, or rain (except for the misty stuff we had for a couple of hours). Above and under Austin, but not on us! Glad some got a good soaking.

At this point I wish you all could have it. It's absolutely pouring right now and we're getting close to 2 inches with no end in site. I checked the doppler and it looks like only our little area is getting it right now. New cells keep forming and moving right over us between Waco and Tyler.
