I bought this one last year at a garden club sale, labeled as 'light blue dwarf iris'. Actually it may not have said anything other than "light blue" ...
It opened for the first time today, boy was I pleased. Not what I expected but oh so nice! Think I need to risk buying more NOIDs. It is the first to open in my garden so far, I have one other (also a NOID) that has two blooms but it is against the rock retaining wall that gets lots of sun.

The leaves are about 4 inches tall and the blooms are maxing out at 5 inches high. (we had some torrential rain before I got home...petals may have been pounded a bit)

Based on a pic posted over in "Bloom is busting out all over" I think it may be 'Dollop'. Any opinions?
If we had no holes in our leaves we would have no butterflies!

The color of your iris and Dollop is certainly similar but the form is different. Dollop has round falls while the pictures of your iris show the falls to be more long and narrow. Pretty little iris though which looks to make a nice clump.

Wow.. look at all those blooms the first year! Sorry, no help on the ID, but very sweet.

Good point Paul, I was so focused on colour I didn't even notice the shape difference.

Heh! Yes, I was impressed with both its multiplying and the number of blooms in just one year.

Thanks all! Yes, I am falling in love with this charming, cute little beauty.

For ID what about 'Knick-Knack'?
