Tx. Someday I will pay more attention to her and work on getting her to be a lush tree. Right now she's kinda spindly.

You've never lived till the snow never melts until April. Actually, I don't feel depressed this year because everyone is having a New England winter!! Group hug As they say, misery loves company!

Eh - I remember walking over to a friends house, barefoot as always, and walking back in snow. I was raised outside of Detroit, lol. Just not New England. MA must be Maine - funny I hadn't figured that out prior to this.... Blinking

Nope Maine is ME and Massachusetts is MA. I live in the northwest, about 10 miles from VT (Vermont). Detroit's got to be like Massachusetts. How soon we forget pain!

And abbreviations, lol....

Yeah, it doesn't help that I spent the past 15 or so years in the desert S'west, so there's a definite lapse.... so much so that I actually used words like "enchanting" and "magical" to describe snow. Well, that was last year.
In the end, only kindness matters.

OMG!
Don't kill yourself!
In 1978 I lived in Mass. and we had a winter like this one, I had a friend staying with me from Florida
and he had never seen snow before...every time the plow came down the street, he'd jump for joy
because then he could shovel some more snow from the car. That joy lasted a few days then slowly
he became suicidal ..cabin fever set in, and he was packed and ready to go back to Florida!

Pachypodium densiflorum is budding too, they are definitely waking up. But - if don't want the buds on densiflorum to abort, I would need to move it from its super bright dry spot to a preferred Cattleya location. Cattleyas win!!

That's a very interesting flower, Ursula, what does the plant look like?
