A few blooms are opening up at our gardens! So I thought I'd start a thread where I could share all the pictures as I take them for those that are interested.

First up, an SDB called 'What Again' - Ensminger 1990

It's a nice one, and a fairly good re-bloomer, to boot !...Arlyn

I have this one Damon Gardens. I really like it and is a good rebloomer here in zone 7a. We always like to see iris photos.

Another SDB, 'Frosted Angel' - Blyth 1984

I have a question DamonGardens. I have been to your website and wanted to check out you SDB's. How do I filter only the SDB's without going through all the irises? May be a dumb question with an obvious answer but not the first time I have asked one of those. Lol

Not a dumb question, granny's garden! Unfortunately, there isn't an option to filter by iris classification yet. My husband is the brains behind the website and I've been bugging him to give us that update because we've had a lot of people ask for it!

But, because it's been asked, I've already done the leg work and created a list with links to each of our SDB. Our collection is pretty small - we are making an investment in new ones this year. (Most of our stuff at Damon Gardens right now is modern Tall Bearded).

Good thing I have plenty of room for more irises. I tend to go for big and bold but Frosted Angel?

Might have to consider some varieties of smaller stature, I definitely like that one. One good thing about my rural, farmhouse landscape. As long as I'm willing to mow around it I can stuff plants in wherever it suits me at the moment and find them a better "spot" as time goes by.

Ah, Wes, I used to have that kind of room. Now I have to look for a spot that no one needs to walk in or park in and there is where I plant something.

Dark Vader - Miller 1985 ......and....... Fireplace Embers - Niswonger 1993

I would choose Bright Vision out of these. I have cat's eye and its a beauty and fireplace embers is a smaller flower but its colors light up a garden.
