Maintenance of Perennial Beds.
Picture (May 25, 2014)

Bought this last year as Gentiana paradoxa.
Among other things it's blooming at the wrong time for that species.

I believe it's Gentiana acaulis.
Can anyone confirm or add anything (viz. cultivar) to this?

Have submitted pictures as Gentiana angustifolia.

As you refer to, Lori, it seems garden forms of G. acaulis do not belong to A. acaulis L.
and that G. acaulis L is the taxonomically correct name for G. kochiana Perr. & Song..

However, perhaps it would be better to simply assign the photographs to the Gentiana acaulis Group.
