Just curious what everyone's best iris have been. Many times the pretty faces do not have robust

plant habits. I have tried to add a few rebloomers. I am not wanting to add a large number but a

few that are garden worthy.

You didn't mention any of your likes. Prefer newer ones, or historics? Pastels or dark?

Thornbird. It multiplies fast an has a lot of bloom stalks. It is a TB.

Until this summer, I have only had six or seven Iris. Next year will be different, but for now:

Here is a 1930s yellow historic that is like a Timex--takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin' and sometimes reblooms for me.


Pretty much everything in my yard has to be tough as nails or it doesn't survive my neglect. This NOID is one of those and is probably my favorite.

But also Owyhee Desert because it always blooms and smells great and well, I love the look of it


And I think both Michigan Pride and Grateful Red will make the cut because I grew up in MI and Red just blew me away when it bloomed.

I love 'em too. They are the survivors. I also love the named ones..... just fickle I guess.

Michigan Pride and Grateful Red are two that I need to get.

A new one that I recently added...Ink Patterns. It's a blooming machine and a good increaser here and I love the way it looks.

I never did get a clump shot this year.

I'm only a year into "named" irises, so I'm sure that list will grow with named ones too.

wow, are all these re-blooming already! I'll bet Arlyn knows a few of these especially No. 11.

Out of those, only #16 has re-bloomed. While I've had a very late, or slow, #2 and #5 just bloom.

#3 reminds me of Chuckwagon. Love # 7 & # 9. You have some beautiful NoIDs.

Ha! most of my favorites are NOIDs too.
Possibly 'Classic Look'.. goes with everything, always beautiful.
