Hi I dont know exactly if this is the area to askthis.. but Im looking for seeds/pods
for this hibiscus. But its frustrating because Ive seen alotcalled that so Im not always sure if theres a difference inside that lable. Alot dont look like the one we rescued out of a georgia river. I dont have great pics of the leaves but of the bush and flower kinda .. but its flowers were enormous.. pure white and a deep red eye.. no viening of the red at all. The petals were kinda pointed in augh.. I will find a pic I saved online and post. And the leaves were dark green elongated heart shaped very pointed and it was verytall and wide and woody not like a regular plant stalk.. hard to explain. It was nothing like the kind of hibiscus i find here in central texas for sale in fact Ive never seen it in person for sale anywhere Ive been for some reason. Mine died after about 15 years part had been in the ground at my dads in alabama and i potted one and brought it here to texas..
its extremely sentimental for me ( the person I was with when we got it out of the river and dying there.. has passed away) and I was very sad That I never saved pods I guess.. I thought over the years I had.. but Ive not been able to find any boxed up here in the place I live in now. does anyone here have seeds? I will pay for any of them I just really would like to grow from seed. Have no idea how.. but theres something important about growing it from seed for me.

You'd probably have better luck asking on the trading forum.

I have one that looks like this. I'll take a picture tomorrow afternoon and post. If it is like the one you want I can save pods.

Green Grin!

I got a new iphone and I have been trying to NOT take it to the garden with me. With my other one, I was getting it very dirty and gritty. So, I saw the hibiscus and knew I needed to take a picture but by the time I turned around I had already forgotten what I was going after. Rolling on the floor laughing that seems to be happening to me more and more.

Do the seed pods form at the base of each flower? abhege have you grown the pictured crimson eyed rose mallow hibiscus from seeds? Would late August (now) be a good time to collect seed pods? I would be interested in growing some from seeds if you could help get me seeds.
