I live in Botetourt County, Virginia , which I believe is in garden zone 7a. I would like to plant a garden for fall harvesting. Can you give me suggestions on what vegetables I can plant in August and September?

There's still plenty of time for a fall garden. Check out our garden planting calendar for your area, right here:

Welcome to ATP ! I'm pretty sure you have time for a really nice fall garden in your zone, I'm working on mine now in the far north! Smiling

One of my favorite resources (other than the planting calendar here on ATP, of course) is Johnny's Selected Seeds -- here's a link to their recommended fall crops: http://www.johnnyseeds.com/v-4...

Be sure to check out Johnny's "internet only" items. Lots of time they have packs of items marked down to only a dollar a pack. And keep an eye on their yearly sales items, also extremely reduced prices. http://www.johnnyseeds.com/v-5...

Happy Gardening up your way!
