My daughter-in-law sent me two pictures to see if I knew what they were. She got them for a house-warming gift and doesn't know how to care for them. She lives in Kaufman, Texas. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm fairly certain that the second one is Crossandra, possibly Orange Marmalade, an extremely popular cultivar:

Firecracker Flower (Crossandra infundibuliformis 'Orange Marmalade')

The first one is familiar, but the name doesn't come to mind. Sorry. Smiling

First one might be Evoluvus (Blue Daze): http://garden.org/plants/searc...

and I agree with Zuzu, that second one is Crossandra.
