Congratulations to Barbara, our new moderator. While on that subject,I want to thank all of you on this forum. It's the easiest forum to moderate I have ever been on. The only thing I have ever had to remove is the very rare bad language that pops up. I think Dave removed a "for sale" post by a new member but that's about it. Anyway, thank you, and merry Christmas to all of you.

JT isn't going anywhere, he will always be the "senior" moderator. I am just the newbie on the block.

Yep.I'm still a moderator and will continue to post. Barbara is way ahead of me on posts and hippi knowledge so that's why I asked her to co-moderate.
My amaryllis are all asleep for now.I will be waking them up on New Years day. I'm also thinking of planting them all outside after they bloom and making that a permanent arrangement.

Lucky us to have two very knowledgeable moderators on the Amaryllis forum. Thumbs up

JT, it must be nice to have the choice of planting your bulbs outside, no choice here. Growing the bulbs satisfies my need to grow something and those beautiful blooms brighten my days during the long winter. Green Grin!

Nothing like the double blooms of "Marylin" or the buds getting ready to pop on the "Violetta" to bring some winter joy! For the first time I have 4 blooms and 2 buds, hopefully 6 blooms on a "Dynomite" mini single amaryllis[[Red as red can be!]! Barbara, I know you will do a great job of keeping the interest going! Love to share the interest in Amaryllis/Hippeastrums!
Good growing wishes for 2015! Smiling
