Thread OP

I had to do a major reorganization of my lilies so I could better shade them from the killer sun here. selling them is NOT working. The Lily Auction (used to be good) now blocks direct communication with customers and it is too difficult to bother with, esp. since half my buyers will not answer messages and I do not know when to ship their plants or if they are even going to pay. Etsy has not been honest about just exactly what it costs to sell there and the other bulb sellers are selling cheap imports-WTF? thought that was a "homemade" site with better quality. Evidently "homegrown" doesn't qualify.
FeeBay is hopeless, not only is it a DICTATORSHIP now, the only thing buyers want there are cheap fakes. And the fees and risks are so godawful high I have to charge double what I do on the Blooming Auction. So I give up, there is no place to sell where I will have the quality customers I had on my website and I do not and never will have the quantity I used to have.
So my inventory is on the Blooming Auction, at least you can get an idea of what sizes I have left. I am also willing to trade my other plants.
Here is my list of what I have some are large, some are small and I do have some small Triumphator left but it is starting to sprout so I do not know if I can keep it for spring shipping. I am looking for OLDER varieties and my own breeding - all I had is lost. But I won't turn down anything I do not have!

Ahhhh, Buggy .. I put a heap of your seedlings in the 2015 Claremont Lily Show.[AUSTRALIA]. Unfortunately , 'the braindead judges' were not keen on them! Thumbs down .. Y'r right about 'FEEBAY'.. man I can't get ahead , even though Im selling stuff , I have to keep all the money for fees! Thumbs down & that's if the buyer eventually pays!... . Going 'full noise ' into varied Henryi crosses this year .. I had a lethargic start Shrug! to the season , [alcohol infused], but a defibrilater[Named Judith Freeman] pulled me out of the rut with 1 simple compliment... ... Good luck in sales -Anthony

Do you have a link to the Blooming Auction where your lilies are listed and their prices?

thebloomingauction.com once there browse other perennials, or bulbs, I also have a lot of seeds but can also do a mixed lily seed batch. Shipping is basically whatever the box price is for how ever many I can stuff into it. The other plants are free shipping with a discount for multiple orders. Sales are mostly one item at a time, not at all like the website was which was mostly multiple flat rate boxes per order, but I no longer have the product to sell.
Sorry Anthony, I remember one customer very proud of winning a show with a huge white oriental seedling of mine called MR. Big, no spots or stripes. I like those spots and stripes and am most attracted to something unusual! I never showed mine, by the time I had some good seedlings I was way to busy to do anything but work to go anywhere or do anything else. I do all my fee bay stuff BIN and require immediate payment, those deadbeats on fee bay is what drove me to making my own website years ago and I discovered a truth that has been everlasting, there are only 2 kinds of customers in the world, good customers, and ebayers.

That's sad, about ebay. I have bought a few things there, one even from Australia. Cost a bloody fortune to have it sent to Alaska. It is really disheartening to think there are that many dishonest slugs in the world that it blotches an entire internet site. Or is it only people buying flowers and plant? That would be even more upsetting. You (well, I) tend to think of gardeners as a cut above the rank and file. I did a trade with Buggy last fall and was quite satisfied. I have my bulbs planted and am eagerly awaiting growth. I had to put them in pots in dirt over winter (got them too late to go outside) in the garage so no growth yet, but the bulbs are quite healthy looking. Hopefully what I sent will do as well.

Hi Mary,
I only pay attention to the plant stuff over on fee bay, but it is bad for every plant seller when there is so much fraud going on. But i think the glossy mags are even worse, outrageous prices for the littlest, bittiest plants I would hesitate to GIVE away! I have had many customers tell me they try to report fraud, noxious weeds and things like that it but of course the moronic dictatorship of fee bay pays no attention to them. Just like they blew me off several times when my photos were used to sell fake lily seeds.
I am sure the new lilies I got from you will be wonderful this summer, they were planted right away.
Anyway we are having record breaking warm temps here (with rain of course) so I have been out playing in the mud. I may start planting some of my lilies back soon. I did lose about 2 dozen evergreen Azaleas due to the sudden and vicious freeze we had in November so that gives me more room for more Lilies!
There is almost always a silver lining.......

Lisa, I saw that last year and the year before. They were using a picture of your Awesome and charging something like $5.00 for five seeds. I never have bought any bulbs or seeds on Ebay, although I've been thinking about buying some 'Caspian Pink' tomato seeds this Spring. It's been so long, I don't even remember my password anymore.

Yes and "Awesome" is my avatar. I charge a lot on feebay, I try to make it 2X what I charge on the blooming auction, I would rather have fewer sales and better customers. Besides with the fees and shipping costs and fees charged on shipping costs I have to charge a lot just to clear almost 50% of the price on feebay. It really is not worth it but I have nothing better to do. At least not here.
