Light Spectrum's Effects on Plants -- Part II

By drdawg
February 23, 2015

Previously I wrote about light spectrum ranges and how those ranges affect plants. This light range is measured in nanometers, or what's called Kelvin (the K number is printed on fluorescent tubes/bulbs). What is also important is the light intensity. If the light intensity is not great enough, it really won't matter much what the Kelvin number is. Light intensity is measured in lumens.

I am not quite sure how to do that, Bonnie, but try putting @drdawg in that left hand search box, and IF it takes you to my page, scroll down all the way near the bottom and you will see that article. Just click on that article. Someone else may have a better way of getting to the article. I think that was the first article I ever had published here.

How did you create that link, Shoe? I am so computer-illiterate, it is just pitiful! *Blush*

We still have quite a bit of snow in the protected areas and northern exposure areas. We'll get up into the mid-50's today with bright sun, so by the end of the day, there will be little snow left.

Thanks for the information, Shoe.

You're welcome.
I love the snow but also love seeing it gone, too! :>)
Best!
