Following numerous issues with the technology, this morning I disabled the encryption on ATP. Ideally this will fix the bugs that some users were experiencing.

If you notice any problems on the site that you think might have been related to this switch, please report them to me.

Not a problem for me, but I am no longer getting the security warning....noticed as soon as I logged on

Dave, I couldn't get ATP from Safari. Of course I didn't know the encryption had been disabled so I've been hours trying to access it. I emailed an ATP friend & she told me about the change. I tried typing it in the addy bar on Safari numerous times & it just keeps saying Safari can't open the page. I tried Chrome & that's how I'm here but I really do prefer my Safari. Is this some kind of glitch you can deal with?

Actually, you shouldn't be having any trouble at all accessing, either from the old secure URL or the new unsecure one.

Try rebooting your computer and see if that works.

Reboot didn't work & I was sure it would. Safari is getting Cubits for me. This is odd.

If it helps, I'm sending this from Safari on an iPad with no problem.

Thanks Sue. I can't imagine what's going on. Well, since I have to go unload the dishwasher I guess I can try a total shut down-restart while I'm gone.

I'm also really happy to have the back arrow functionality restored!

Strange. The shut down/restart did not work. Once again I typed in the addy manually but this time as suggestions came up I clicked on one of the ATP articles on top 25 plants & got in. Then I tried exiting ATP & going back in via my top sites & it worked.

After spending a bit of time here this morning, I'm also happy to add that all of the areas that had turned boggy are now responsive again as well. Images in threads open without a long wait, threads load quickly again, etc. Now it would be possible to study all of the pictures in a photo contest or thread, instead of having to guess about what they'd look like opened up.
