Help mi, unknown flower from Uganda, (to me, the unknown).

If it has been identified, please tell us what it is. Very pretty and unusual plant.

I'm trying things such as subterranean flowering plants, but no matches yet.
A challenging task, as I'm not sure what Family of Plants that it is a member of yet.

Protea decurrens maybe?

the Protea is not, it is a plant of the jungle forest

Protea decurrens is an erect shrub. The above flowers are forming subterraneally and opening at ground level.

Once back in the forest, we see these flowers coming out directly from the ground. They are used by locals as a remedy for ear infections

I wish they would name them!

Here it is, but the name of the

Thonningia sanguinea, perhaps?
