Spring, finally Spring. Even though some of you are covered in snow, it really is Spring. I thought it might never get here.

So it's time for a new Weather Thread; we love to talk about all aspects of weather, the effect on our gardens, and on our lives. It's a good place to keep a record of weather in our gardens from year to year too, so for that reason let's stay as close to the topic as we can. Please join us and tell us about your weather.

We came from here: The thread "(Closed) Weather in your garden~Winter 2015" in Daylilies forum

Thanks to Natalie for this wonderful picture, and notice the beautiful butterfly shape. Happy Spring!!

Beautiful photo Natalie!

Thanks for the new thread Sharon. Smiling

Aw Natalie -- more rain is the last thing you need.

Rita, did the snow finally stop?

They had us slated for 86 today which always ends up being hotter but I see now they've dropped us to 84 - I bet they end up wrong. We had very heavy fog this morning that hung around much longer than they expected which I imagine is why they lowered the predicted high. But now the sun is out in full force & all that fog has turned into humidity to the tune of 75% - dew point 70 degrees. So it's going to be a very hot feeling 84 IF it stops there.

Ann, your weather doesn't seem too bad to me! Hilarious!

Yes, the snow stopped overnight and the roads have been cleared this morning. Not that bad out there really, somewhat warm but of course everything is covered in snow. Hope it melts really fast. Not likely but I can hope so.

I would trade for afew days but not for forever. Hilarious!

Actually I would love to live in Northern Florida. I have spent many weeks in mid southern Florida (in the Tampa and Ocala area) in the summers. I didn't find it that bad. Hot yes but heck it was summer. But it was many years ago and maybe now that I am older the heat would bother me more.

It's very dreary here today. Cloudy, cool, gray. Our daytime temperatures are a little below average for the forecast but I wish we could string together some days with lows that were above freezing. That just messes up everything trying to grow. Snow is gone though and I am just left with the clean-up!

You got a deal!!!!! I wouldn't want to trade forever either. I think a month would sound fine. Yes, I think you would find Tampa & Ocala a bit too warm for your taste now --- I know I do. Age, you know. Whistling It's really humid in Tampa - REALLY humid. I never lived in Ocala so can't really say about there as far as humidity.

Lovely sunny day here, temperature around 54f but feeling warmer out of the north-easterly wind. I found a scape on Higher Ambition to add to the one on Just My Size, hope we don't get more frosts! I read somewhere that Easter is possibly going to be a scorcher (for England, that is!) with temperatures in the 80s (in the south-east I expect, not here in the south-west) but a sunny Easter would be marvellous. The clocks go forward an hour next Saturday so the evenings will be lighter Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Today in my garden, late afternoon

Florida was really humid but heck, Long Island is really humid in mid summer so I am used to lots of humidity. I know I would be happy in Northern Florida. But too old now to move in that I just can't imagine having to start over after all the effort I have put into my garden here. I don't have the energy to go it again. So here I stay. A move seems far too overwhelming. Blinking

I really would love to live where there is no or very little winter. But things in life just worked out that I lived here. Most of my life I had wished I could move elsewhere. Now that I could move in that there is not circumstances like family or work keeping me here I just can't cope with the idea of moving. Nope, going to be staying here in spite of winter. And I do love my spring bulbs which are the reward for winter's passing!

They are calling for a high of 77F. That's really all the hotter it needs to get.
