Any ideas? Got it from Home Depot a year ago. Didn't have a tag. Thanks! 😊

The only deep pink rose our HD carried last year was Pink Peace. Your rose looks like it has a few stripes, or is that just petals that had some damage?
I'm jealous of you Californians because box stores out there carry much better roses. Here, we get the same old roses year after year. Mr. Lincoln, Tropicana, Iceberg, oldies but goodies, nothing new or exciting unless it sneaks in there unlabeled. I did get lucky finding a Louise Odier at Home Depot last year.
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.

Does it have a strong scent? Were you able to capture the exact color with your camera? It reminds me of Intrigue, which is always available at Home Depot. The colors look a little bit off, but if you look at the photos in our database entry for Intrigue, you'll see how different cameras capture different colors in this rose. There's a great variety of colors in the photos.

ZuZu you are on the right track. That looks very similar if not the same coloration (mauve/mauve blend). It is a deep mauve. My mom's rose is the Tutu Mauve and honestly, it looks a deeper mauve then that flower. This rose has the same bloom as Intrigue, but minimal fragrance. Intrigue so far has the been the closest to a match. The fragrance tells me it's not it though.

I would say the color is either "Orchid Rose" (a variable color averaging a deep purplish pink that is redder and less strong than amaranth pink) or a fuschia, with minimal to no fragrance.

It's not blooming in clusters, so it looks like a hybrid tea. Try searching by characteristics in the rose database.

http://garden.org/plants/group...

I checked the "mauve and mauve blend" box in the bloom color section and the "hybrid tea" box in the class section and got 64 results. The addition of "mild" in the fragrance section whittled the selection down to 15, and when I tried "moderate" instead of mild, I got 7 results. There were no results with no fragrance. Most of them would not be sold at Home Depot, so I hesitate to suggest any, but look through the entries. The closest I can find that fits colorwise is Girl's Night Out, which might be available at Home Depot.

Rose (Rosa 'Girl's Night Out')

Of course, it could be in the shrub class, which would change everything. Big Grin

I'm thinking more along the lines of Intrigue

Very common rose @ HD. The leaves aren't the leathery looking ones, nor are they the uber shiny ones. But yours look a little water stressed (probably from the planting or lack of water or too much water.. fussy fussy).

Intrigue was my first guess. The shape of the bloom is right, and the rose is common enough to be sold anywhere.
