One of my greatest pleasures is taking photographs of my yard throughout the year. I find deep satisfaction in recording the beauty of flowers and plants and seasons, but, not surprisingly, I also like those, “Ooh, nice job on the photo” pats on the back. Which, up to this time, has meant that I scattered my pictorial largesse far and wide. Big Grin New and noteworthy (to me) events in the last few months have left limited energy to cautiously spend on what is most important—like my pitchers! Given the new and noteworthies, instead of dropping flower images into multiple conversations on different forums, I am going to contain myself pretty much to this thread. I hope no one will be offended if I do not respond to most comments, except maybe with a thumbs-up. There are many days, now, that just getting to the coffee is a monumental achievement—so, for the most part, getting the photographs edited and online is going to be all the extra achievement I will be able to manage for awhile. Smiling But I do so love the process and hope you find looking at the results as enjoyable and entertaining as do I.

These are from February. Will start on March tomorrow.

Thanks for continuing to share your garden. So sorry your condition has taken a turn for the worse and I sure hope this is a temporary set back and you will get new strength as the summer progresses. Group hug

Not long after I joined ATP one of the threads was a laugh off contest and although you said you weren't entering the contest the story you put in about a man giving his wife a membership to a gym with a personal trainer made me laugh until I almost wet my pants and my stomach hurt. Hilarious! I also loved reading your blogs and many of your comments in different threads. You have a gift for writing and have been so generous in sharing yourself, your humour and your beautiful gardens. I do not want a response but just wanted to say thank you. Group hug

First week of March

Second snowfall in two weeks. Weird for us. Did in the greenhouse the neighbors gave me. Was flimsy to start and last summer's heat degraded the plastics. Think the community garden folks are going to come get the racks.

Who could pass that up? // Sister and intended brought me pots from their old house...making up for what he did backing up his boat to store under my carport for awhile. Gosh Debra, I thought for sure the Japanese Maple was a goner when you posted photos of it right after the Elm limb fell on it. I am so thrilled to see it doing just dandy! Hurray! Hurray! I never would have believed it had I not seen it for myself.

I love the little pinwheels! I can't wait to see all the irises blooming.
