Anne's time lapse makes me wonder what other fascinating features do seeds have?
The geranium seeds have tails which when wet:--drill the seed into the soil.
Nemophilia seeds are shaped with a little "handle" so ants can carry them.

I know some seeds need to pass through a digestive system in order to germinate because the seed coat has a germination inhibitor and stomach acid somehow neutralizes it.

This is not scientific or anything. But I always think Scabiosa seeds look like the module that astronauts used to reenter Earth in. You know, that capsule that would land in the water? I envision the bunch of seeds exploding and gently floating down to earth.
