Do you have spring blooming bulbs in your garden or around your town this week? Share photos of them in the plant database, and enjoy looking at those posted by other members. At the end of the week, I will give a report of the most thumbed images and it'll be awesome.

This is what I posted up there but shouldn't have:

I've got piles and piles of decent photos of spring bulbs...

...but have NO idea what they are (apart from, "I think that's a daffy"...or "dang, that's a pretty blue flower", or "I call these grape-eys"...

And it's kind of a dumb thing, too, because I'm not sure how much I care about the genus and species and subspecies. So much more interesting is the color and shape and size and elegance and how it fits in the bed...or how it gets framed in the shot. In fact, I'm pretty sure that I don't care about what something is called at all unless it finds its way into my permanent brain storage vault organically...or by mistake...or something. And then the name is there just because it is.

Kind of counter to the purpose of the site, I know. And then to have someone come and clean up behind me and database some of the shots is kind of an absurd proposition, too. Very inelegant position to be in to create work for others.

So I guess I'll be content to post what I post where I post it.

Probably not a very common thing around here, but it makes me feel kind of stuck-ish and mostly useless.

Well we have forums for pictures, too, where you can post your wonderful shots and we can enjoy them. They don't have to be in the database to give inspiration and delight to your fellow ATP denizens. Smiling

@Dave is there a link where we can view all the new spring bulb photos?
