I planted some tulip bulbs in a flower pot and put them on a shelf in my unheated garage in November. Yesterday I noticed that some were starting to come up. When should I move the pot outside? Most daffodils and tulips don't start blooming outside in in my 5a zone until early May. Thanks for any info.

You could bring them in and let them bloom on a cool, bright windowsill for you, Jane. Water well, and let them brighten your day?

But if you want to, you can probably put them outside now, and just let nature tell them when to grow. I'd give the pot a good watering and place it where you want them to bloom, then let the highs and lows of spring temperatures bring them along at the normal pace.
