I planted 8 ixoras in april of 2014... they were beautiful the rest of the year... as soon as a cold front came through the leaves turned brown... they now have no leaves... my questions is did the cold kill them or are they going to come back cause I do have some oleanders that do the same thing but they always come back...

Most of the Ixora species are hardy only to zone 9b or 10a. I grow one in zone 9a and it typically dies back as soon as it's hit by frost. It comes back from the roots each year, but never grows very large. I'm not sure it would even come back from the roots in zone 8b, but you can always hope. Smiling
