Chickhill, these photos are wonderful! You must have had good transportation to get around there in the snow. I have a picture of the grist mill up in our home. Cades Cove is beautiful. I love Tennessee.

Thank You! fellow Tennessean
The main road had been plowed, no problems.
So quite, peaceful and beautiful.
Have you driven the Roaring Fork Motor Trail?

We've never been to Roaring Fork Motor Trail, but thank you for the heads up. Looks like a nice day trip!

My Husband suggested that many miles of S curves through the Smokies could be the Roaring Fork Motor Trail. We were on that road for so long. It was beautiful, green and solitary. Scary and awesome at the same time. It's been 4 years since we were there. Love Tennessee!

To get to Roaring Fork Motor Trail, turn at red light no. 8 in Gatlinburg, it is a one way, one lane curvy road.

"S" curves makes me think of "Tail of the Dragon", that is a good one also.

We've been to "The Dragon" via Tellico. Never taken it to NC tho. This winding trail we were on happened the day we went to Cades Cove. Ended up in Pigeon Forge. I'm such a tourist! Have you ever taken The Dragon to NC?

Yes in the fall and I didn't like it. Want to go in the summer when it's all green.
