This may not be the place to say hello. But I just did!!! Rolling on the floor laughing Just a little information on me.

I've been snooping around this forum when it started. I also snoop around Cubits forum too.

I've ordered bearded irises from Dee, Keppel, Atkins, blue J,PNW sale. This year from iris sisters.

About me I'm younger then most iris lovers, I think (34). Have a 4 year old son and a baby due mid June!! Hurray! I'm a cnc machinist, my day job. Then I'm the captain of my volunteer fire department. Also an emt. This is my fun job 24-7, 365 are my hours!

Been grow bearded irises for 7-8 years now. Started to make crosses in 2012. Got to see some of my crosses bloom last year. 40 or so bloomed, only kept 6-8. Planted close to 200. Have many more to bloom this year.

My crossing goals are has stated
Cross for pretties
Cross for broken TB, MTB main goal
Cross for more tet. mtb

Nothing major just a pollen tabber.

By the way I'm Cory.

Welcome! Cory,
I'm pretty new at growing Iris but the ATP folks are very helpful and are such a wonderful group. I've learned so much from them in the short time I've been a member.

Hey Cory, Welcome! Always nice to see more people on here. Don't be shy, show us your blooms when you have them. I'm sure with your schedule you will have lots of time to sit at the computer and upload pictures! Rolling on the floor laughing Especially after the new little one arrives.

Hello, Cory, and welcome to the iris forum. I love the medians and will be quite eager to see your MTB crosses. I don't have a large collection of MTB's as they are not as readily available as the other distinctive classes. I have several ordered this year so I will enjoy more in the future. smiles
