Ok, so we are all upset when we lose a bloom stalk to "rot", and even more so when the whole plant bites the dust. It is a MAJOR bummer. I wanted to balance out the negative vibes of the "Goners!" thread with a more warm and fuzzy one. So I am showing some rhizomes or small clumps (clumpettes if you will) that are flourishing this Spring!

"Helen" is one I just can't get to grow ! Tried it 2 years in a row, and didn't "take' either time. They were nice sized rhizomes, too

I need to put my Plot Line on the other thread! I have too many nice clumps to mention them all, but will have to go take a look at some that are exceptional.

My irises are flourishing, but before I got out the Sluggo, some
slugs did a bit of damage, and some of my leaves have little holes!

I'm glad to see and hear about so many happy, healthy Irises. I took a walk around this morning and saw many, many, many buds ready to open. Always some good news mixed in with the bad.

Good. I like that kind of growth. I have one remaining bloom on the second one you sent. Talk about a long bloom time.

And when the clumps get a little larger, that tends to stretch the bloom out longer, as well. Thee's a lot to be said for the "little guys".

I love them! And those little guys are really a treat.

I think Pulsator is one of my really good growing little guys. I've only had it for 2 years, but it's already a big circle of rhizomes that will need to be thinned this year.

That's good to know Tom. Pulsator was is one of many little ones I want to get this year.

I was looking at Howler yesterday and it has four increases starting to poke their heads out.

Buds are exploding out of the healthy Iris fans! A little bit of sunshine and warm weather is all they need and I think most of mine will bloom in April this year.
