I would like to know the name of this early spring flower. I think it is so pretty. I only have the one plant like this. Can anyone ID this plant for me? Thanks.

I was going to say Pulsatilla vulgaris which is the one I think is more commonly sold where I am - it's what I had anyway:

Thanks Stefan and Sue for your input. I agree with Sue. I think it is the Pulsatilla vulgaris. It sure bloomed fast. It seems I say it coming up one day and it was blooming the next.

Pulsatilla grandis and Pulsatilla vulgaris are very related. Pulsatilla grandis has its origin in the South Eastern europa. Pulsatilla vulgaris occurs from France to southern Sweden, East Austria.Czech Republic, Austria and Germany - the area of the common occurrence of. They come from the same area and are very similar, previously were considered one species. grandis bad has replanted long globular root, grandifora is more robust against vulgaris, I tip my hat to you.
