I've got 2 more seedlings out of this cross that have not bloomed yet. They bloom this year or get the boot!! I like -1 the best, brighter Yellow, infused purple in the standards, nice color in the beards. Kept -2 because of the beards.

Will post a few more later.

That's pretty much it for my seedlings so for. Out of 200 or so seedlings planted 40 or so bloomed last year. I'm hoping for a good seedling bloom this year.

Side notes: I lost 2 or so seedlings this winter. Not sure which ones it was. Just have cross numbers not dash # now. Cross 65-12 bloomed the most last year, but only kept 1 seedling so for. Only have a few left to bloom this year. A lot of these crosses I was shooting for B/C, only got 1 so for. I just keep plugging along I guess!

I think 65-12 is wonderful. My favorite of the bunch. 39-12 has an interesting fall pattern. As does the crosses with English Charm that gave both seedlings pronounced gold hafts. 64-12 also has an unusual beard color and I like the lavender color.

I'm curious if you're being scientific about your crosses and studying their history, or doing (as I would) and just picking a couple you like and seeing what happens..

I'm a little of both worlds. Right now it's mostly pick two and see what happens. Got to start somewhere. But I'm trying to study what plants make the better parent. Pod or pollen, which give the kids the things I'm trying to get. Do I get b/c using a b/c as the pod or pollen parent. These are things I'm learning as I go.

If you look up some b/c plants, you see a broken as pod and pollen parent. So I'm just finding what works for me.

55-12 is my favorite. Those style crests are marvelous.
