I was kicked by my 1400 lb. cow, Grumbling by accident of course. I suppose the good news is that my arm doesn't seem broken, but it's still bleeding. Sad
She was trying to kick at her utter to chase the flies and, I just happened to be standing next to her. Her utter and teets cannot be treated with the fly treatment because she's nursing her calf.
I think sitting quietly with my wonderful semps will improve my mood.

Thanks, you guys! I honestly have never seen my arm so swolen! Bill said I had to "scrub" the open wound. Crying he's right, I know. Her foot is what made contact, and Lord knows what she's been stepping in!
Okay, I'll scrub it, but I'm not gonna like it!
Gotta push on, always something to do around here.
Stiff upper lip and all that!

Yes, the hydrogen peroxide would be a good idea. Also if you have a farm store close by go get some Schreiner's Herbal Solution. It is for animals, but we have been using it for years. Works better than anything the pharmacy or doctor has given us over the years. We get the one with the brown label/spray bottle. http://schreiners.com/?gclid=C...

Thank you, girls! Group hug
I did scrub twice and applied the hydrogen peroxide twice as well. I'll do that for a few days then see how it looks.
I do know how lucky I am. Could have been a broken arm, stitches or worse.

Lynn, I have seen this line of product at one of the local feed/farm stores. I really would like to try it.
I hate to admit it, but I am a klutz. I think I've fallen one way or another at least a half a dozen times...since spring started. Grumbling

On a happier note, my Pacific Magic Night, Coronet, Nouveau Pastel and label maker have arrived ! Hurray!

It's crazy how easy it is! I'm using the black on white tape now for pantry labels.
Then I'm going to switch to white on black tape (love that look) and print some labels sor my semps!
I think someone like me, with not so great handwriting can really appreciate this awesome little tool! Hurray!
As a matter of fact, my handwriting is soooo bad, I probably could have been a doctor.
If it wasn't for all that science stuff!

You should see my DH handwriting. Mine is better but not great. Poor sons got that poor handwriting gene from both sides. Hilarious!

Thank, guys! It's finally starting to feel better. Could have been sooo much worse.

I heard a story about a local woman that had to be air lifted to a trauma center after being "stomped" by her cow that she was trying to help calve. Yikes, right?
You don't realize how big they really are when you see them from the road.

Of course I continued to work on my semps during my recovery. Yeah, my arm was very sore, but it wasn't amputated! LOL Hey even with a stump, I would find a way.
