Mine from last year wintered over beautifully, and it was just nailed flat to a piece of wood...no fuss, no bother. I'm ecstatic that it was successful...so much so that when I saw it offered again this spring I almost bought more! Still might...
I had thought I would cut it into maybe 2 inch by 4 inch pieces, and use garden staples to hold them on a dry hot slope. But it would cover more ground to separate them.
I had not thought of using them in containers, but may do that too.
