Cattle feedlot panels make a wonderful bean trellis for your vining vegetables. Pole beans and cucumbers are what we grow on ours.

Thanks so much for this idea. Such an easy solution & I love the idea of SHADE. This would work for almost any vine I suppose.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

You are welcome. I keep asking him to cut one in either 18 or 24 inches wide to make an arbor for a climbing rose or honeysuckle.

Cattle/horse fencing with it's 6-inch spacing is great for supporting tomatoes and squash as well as cucumber and beans. My local lumber yard sold it in 330-ft rolls (too much!) or short panels about 5ft x 10 ft which I could barely bend over and fit into our hatchback. I didn't think of your neat arbor idea, so mine are just supported by posts at each end. They have been supporting my vine crops for the last 5 years...rusty now, but still going strong.
