How deep are they in the soil, they look like they need to be lifted.

So, you're just growing the tips ? How old are these babies ?
I pruned some of my leggy ones and most of them are doing OK, in another pot.
Question; your's look like they're already forming a caudex. My taller ones (from being pruned); how long before they form a caudex -- years ?

my obesums were sowed from seeds 4/3/15 so around 53days old
and my arabicums were sowed from 4/29/15 so around 28days old

try prunning them all the way down, experts says prunning promotes more blooms,

caudex forms fast, and it depends what kind of species you are growing, and the way you grow them

Everything I have read says that the only way to get a caudex is to keep raising the plant, on the market that is the only kind that will sell and make you money. the ones with an unusual caudex, flowers are second.

The purple undersides of some of the leaves is interesting. Are you misting them, or did you take the photo just after watering?
