....and probably the longest description of an orchid pot you will ever read.

Now let's see, 300 orchids times $125 per pot equals... you've gotta be kidding me. But I must agree, it's a nice looking pot. I wonder what new word I would invent if I knocked one off the shelf while dragging the hose around?

Most Cattleyas will attach to that beautiful pot in one season, in the second season it will climb over the edge. In its third year, one has a choice, rip off the roots and repot or, as I usually do, plop the whole thing into another pot or basket.
But it does look very nice while it lasts! Thumbs up Smiling

This is far from new, South American has similar and better for orchids style pots with holes. Lest dense clay is more breathable and drys for orchids far better! I do not know where in the states you can get them but they are freq seen in pics of SA nurseries. I believe an artist has 'improved' on an exits ting style but not practical for growers.

The cool pots from The Orchid Gallery work great! I find that I can pick up nice pots at the Goodwill and if they don't have the right holes, a drill solves that problem.

I use a ceramic bit and drill holes in all sorts of pots.

It amazed me that someone could take a clay pot with holes and write that much about it.

I do the same thing, Alice. I have four sizes of bits, depending on the size of the clay pot.
