Prepared the plants today for Invest 91L that they predict will become a Tropical Storm. Thumbs down MORE rain! Now, I am used to them hyping up the weather like front page news. So I am hopeful it won't pan out. We have had enough.

Take care Cheryl! Jeeze more rain. I guess we can be thankful it is not a full blown hurricane.

It looks like the central and eastern coastal and then the interior counties of Texas are in for a lot of rain and possibly some nasty weather from that tropical storm. I know y'all have had your fill of rain and bad weather this spring.

The eye is at the coastline now around Port O'conner. Looks like we will dodge the worst of it on the upper coast.

That's good to hear, Horntoad. Stay safe!
Our neighbor sends updates from the LCRA weather guy. This one just arrived:

Forecast:
Bill is forecast to make landfall on the western side of Matagorda Bay mid morning and track northwest, moving into Central Texas late this afternoon and evening. The latest National Hurricane Center forecast calls for the center of Bill to reach a position just northeast of Victoria around 2 pm and western Fayette County around 7 pm. The center is forecast to move near of just east of Austin around midnight and to a position southwest of Dallas around sunrise Wednesday morning.

Sounds like it's time to batten down the hatches. I'm going to shove all my potted brugs and plumerias into the bushes so they won't blow over!

Im not home. I called Mr. Shadygreenthumb and I woke him up. Safe to say he slept through Bill making landfall and the heavy rains.

No heavy rains here yet. I'm betting on it being largely media hype for this area.

Personally after all this crazy weather I prefer weather hype than not knowing a possibility. There are many people in flood zones that this will not be hype and should have taken to higher ground.

That is my plan for tonight! We are on a hill 1200 ft above sea level. Not much I can do tonight but get a good nights sleep. Hopefully all us Texans will come out of this better than Memorial Day weekend.

It's pouring here now! I was just out washing the upstairs deck off. Guess I could have waited a few minutes. Nothing to do outside now!

Hardly anything here! Brief sprinkles earlier, then sun off and on. Old Bob doesn't seem to be coming anywhere near here.

Just want to say Hi. I'm new to this website and am really enjoying looking around. I'm in the Humble area and we've gotten about 3 inches of rain at our house.

Since I was born in Texas, I can lay claim to the forum and watch what's going on over there. I have lived in Mississippi for the last sixty years though.

Welcome to ATP SALL. I think you will enjoy yourself on this site. Welcome!
