Is this Ruby Spider? It's what I was promised, but it looks wrong to me.

I went back and found out who you bought it from and I don't think she would rip you off, more like an honest mistake. Smiling
You might let them know that you got the wrong one and they can probably I'd it for you.
I don't recognize it, sorry.

Thank you, Ashton. I have sold on the Lily Auction and here for several years. It is not Ruby Spider, Clint. I will send you another plant. I am sorry for the mistake.

I also ordered "Wilson's Spider" and someone else sent me "Heavenly Angel Ice." It looks a little like "Wilson's Spider" but I heard the color on that one can vary. I just need to be careful ordering daylilies because I am not a huge fan of them and only the ones with big spider flowers appeal to me. I was very happy with my 'Primal Scream' that I ordered from a nursery.

Teresa - I'm not sure this one is supposed to be Ruby Spider. It could be the one called 'Wilson's Spider.' I think I ordered both from you. Let's just wait and see what the others look like. They have buds now. I'm not good with daylilies. Sorry for the confusion. I just was surprised when this opened today. I had been waiting on it to open all week. LOL.

Here is Wilson Spider, I love it. I am waiting on mine to bloom too.

Clint, I really feel very confident that the dl in question in your first post, is not Wilson Spider. And it is of course not Ruby Spider either.
Wilson Spider has a different kind of pattern around the eye, throat area and is not that richly colored.

I have Primal Scream and love it!

We cross posted!

Since Teresa put a pic on, you can see the difference easily. Yours has a more star shape and orange throat. Wilson Spider is green down inside.
I know dl vary sometimes quite a bit, but I don't think that is the case here.

I'll give this one to my mom. She is not picky about these plants. I can't wait until the ones Teresa sent open now. I bet anything this was what someone sent me as a white spider. It's much worse than if they had intended to send 'Ruby Spider.' I will just have to order that 'Heavenly Angel Ice' from someone now. LOL.

Clint, that's not Ruby Spider -- close, but not quite. An honest mistake.

Good luck finding HAI as I have had no success getting it this season. Our very reputable nursery got a whole lot of them in, and they were incorrectly marked. It turned out to be Heavenly Curls which I really like, but not what I really wanted. Another nursery said they had it, but it turned out the supplier was out. This was the one and only that I really wanted this year, but no luck Sad Sad

Didn't I send you a couple fans of HAI last year as a gift and shipped free when you commented on a forum that you were looking for it?

No, that is not Ruby Spider. I don't even know why they call it a spider as the scape is short.

This is Ruby Spider:
