I may not be the fastest or most efficient hybridizer, but I am learning along the way. Tags have been lost due to outside activities that I have been made aware of, only after the fact. In any case, I am finally seeing results from crosses after several years of waiting. I'll share them here.

Here is a Sinfonia trumpet cross.

I like the raspberry coloring on this one. Sturdy petals too.

Probably my favorite of all. A 'Calendar Girl' cross The first year it bloomed it was striking, it has only gotten better each year after.

Here's one I almost dug out last year, not sure if a bug got in it or what. Much better this year, goes to show you not to be too hasty to judge one way or the other . It was bred from Griesbach' s Pearl Lilies

Here are some lilies grown from tetra Griesbach asiatic spotless seeds. A good variety of pinks, from light to dark and coral, one had spots.

I think pard sent me my first seed in 2008 or 2009. I've played with pollen every summer since. It is all her fault that I have this addiction. nodding

A couple of trumpet seedlings today. The air smells so nice outside right now. Cooler temperatures for us for this time of year.
This one is from NALS seed

I thought this might be a Sinfinia cross, but I am not sure.

Smiling Both lovely, Tracey. I've got a couple sister seedlings started of the one in your first picture. Huge--about 9 inches or 23 cm across. That seed I got from Connie, too. 2014 photos. Aren't we having fun? Smiling

It really is the best time of year. Your seedlings are very nice. You just can't beat those trumpets, can you? And you get such a nice variety growing from seeds.

One of the first lilies I ever started from seed came from David Sims. I have it in a few places now. At first I thought I liked it just because it's something I grew, but as the years have gone by, I find it extremely beautiful.

Love those pink edges you guys in the upper Midwest are getting. With our heatwave here this summer the colors are not as exciting as they usually are.

The colors with less intense heat definately have the "pop" factor. Believe me, this is not something I ever expect. A couple summers ago I had blooms so hot and dry that they quite literally melted.

I am happy you are getting good color, you deserve it. Smiling It is cooler here today, around 85. More like normal. But the damage has already been done. I haven't had time to post photos. Need to get around to it.

I get eaten alive (by mosquitoes) but at least I'm not hot and getting eaten alive while photographing lilies. I can't wait for you to post your pictures, pard.

Getting multiple mosquito stings and you can't swat because you're trying to get a good photo.....

Not too fun, is it!
