Hi,

The database shows this as:

While the plant store shows this as:

http://www.telosrarebulbs.com/...

Is the database showing a young plant? Are the two the same?

Thanks,

To me, the photo on the database is just showing the blooming portion of the plant, where it makes a bloom stalk then the buds/blooms will appear. Then the photo you have from the plant store is the plant itself with its curly leaves, not yet in a blooming phase. Typically Albucas have fat caudex-like base, a bit buried under the media or half way and what is visible are just the leaves.

So it could be the same plant, just in a different phase of growth.

I agree with Tarev. There doesn't appear to be a database picture entry for the vegetative (leaves) growth for this plant, just the bloom stalk/flowers.

Awesome! I learned a new word too - Caudex.

Thanks again!
