This past weekend, I found a 3 gallon Monrovia Pink Hawaiian Coral and a 3 gallon Red Charm at a Lowe's in Cincinnati on the 50% off rack. Normally $35, I got both for that price. I also had a $25 gift card, so I got both for $12.

Got another good deal this weekend. Saturday, I found a shimadaijin (2 to 3 years old) on a clearance rack at a farmer's market for $20. This is my favorite time of year. They had 2 more for $20 simply marked dark red. I will keep an eye on them.

Good finds!
I am watching the garden centers at this time of year too.
There are tree peonies at one near here, and I am hoping that they mark them down soon.

Also there is a plan for a Lowe's to move near here. The only one in Calgary is way on the other side of town.

Wow! I wish I am as lucky as you are. I went to Lowe's 2 days ago to check on their clearance racks. There's a lot of plants in the racks but no peonies. Even in the regular priced plants. Will check on other garden centers.

Boy, wish my Lowe's stocks plants like your Lowe's. There is nothing worth a look at my Lowe's racks. It is pathetic!

I found Hanakisoi and High Noon tree peonies at a garden center in a neighboring town. They are 50% off. I paid $59.98 plus tax for both.

Lucky you. Those are both beautiful peonies. High Noon gets quite big and wide.

Oh Lily, you will love Hanakisoi. So gorgeous! I love this tree peony, flowers are beautiful and last a long time even in full sun. Foliage stays nice until September.

Jasmin, thanks for the info about High Noon. I planted them too close to the foundation. Like about 2 feet away. Sad

Karen, I am so looking forward for spring now! The pic you posted of Hanakisoi is very nice and it's good that the foliage stays nice. Come September, there are no more blooms in my garden. Nice foliage will make up for it.

Recently took my annual sojourn to the Cincinnati area to visit inlaws so I went hunting for clearance and discounted plants. Here are some of this years scores so far:

1 gallon Blaze for $5 at Lowe's

Thumb of 2016-06-15/graycrna4u/9826ee

5 gallon Yellow Heaven Itoh for $29 (they also had Yellow Waterlily; had Yellow Crown labeled as a hybrid and selling for $9) at Home Depot

Thumb of 2016-06-15/graycrna4u/bb3c78

3 gallon Mr. Ed for $25 at Menards (will divide/huge plant)

Thumb of 2016-06-15/graycrna4u/ce4c4f

Mr. Ed and Mons Jules Eli weren't discounted yet, but I won't be back in the area when that starts so I decided to go ahead and get them. Huge/beautiful plants. Anyone else scoring any deals yet?

Just got Hanakisoi for 29$ plus tax. The plant is small though. Just one stem.

I promised not to buy any more TPs, but I couldn't resist Hanakisoi. So, now when I've started buying TPs again, I cannot stop anymore. I am planning to buy tree more TPs. Unfortunately, those TPs that I would like to have are not bargains.

Lilly, how is your Hanakisoi? Already planted?
