Hi Everyone,

I am a first time poster to the forum, even though I have been a member for a few months. I have looked around a lil bit.

A little about myself. I live in Southern CA, done some traveling, love irises, model trains, and have been in the Hospitality industry for many many moons. Would like to meet others (love if they are local someday so we could help each other out). The colors I have are, deep purple, light purple, light blue, yellow and a gold irises. I have all bearded irises.

Hey Richard, Welcome to this corner of the plant world. We're always looking for new ideas but like to share the old ones too. There are several on here from your state, so you should be able to find a plant buddy near you I'm thinking.

I live in northern California now but grew up in southern California. Lived there through too many large earthquakes. There are a few of us that were originally from southern CA.

I am not sure what the names are. The were planted at the house I am in back in the late 1970's when I was pretty young and there was not tags as to what they were. That picture was taken from the second round of blooming. I get a small first round of flowers then a week or two later I get a lot heavier yield or flowers. They have a lot of fragrance to them.

Under the sun, I am not a fan of any of those teams. Even though I am on the west coast, I follow Boston Celtics and New York Giants for basketball and football. Don't get into baseball anymore.

Oooh, historics. If you get more pictures of them, there are some members who are very good with historic iris ID's.

It's very wet and rainy here on the East coast (My iris rhizomes are not very happy right now )
But it's good to have you here with us !
