Daylily Foliage in Mixed Containers

I needed a tall accent to finish off a mixed container, but my budget didn't stretch to yet another nursery trip. As I looked around, I found the solution.

Sounds like a great idea to have the daylily in the center of the pot. What zone are you in?

flowers, I'm in zone 6. Potted daylilies overwinter just fine for me, although I do group all my potted perennials together, pots touching, for mutual protection in winter.
