Found this one growing in one of my shade beds. It looks like it's going to bloom soon. Does it look familiar to anyone?

Those leaves look more like borage than penstemmon...

I agree boraginaceae would be where I'd look for a match. Making a match will be easier once those buds burst into flowers.

well, here is the first tiny blue blossom. It could definitely be borage but *looks* so different from the other borage I have, which has broad leaves, whereas these are much narrower. Maybe it is in more shade, and the shade would make it look a little different? Shrug!

ok I have a better photo now of the bloom and leaves. It does not have the hairiness that borage has.
