It is an introduced species that can be invasive. It is classified as a noxious weed in Colorado and Washingtion. Nevada is the only one of the state in the Continental US where this plant has not established itself.
I have it in a pot and clip the flowers off each day after flowering. That way I know mine isn't spreading itself around. It really is a pretty flower and the leaves are nice, too.

I just started my first ones from seed about a month ago. I will be doing the same except for the ones I bag to save.
