This is a forum for all the lily lovers that will be posting to introduce themselves. A lot of us know each other, but all new people are welcome and encouraged to post on this cubit. So let's tell a little about us so we can all have an idea who we're talking to.

I'll start. My name is Polly and I live in cold Hannibal NY, zone 6. I'm a lily lover, and a beardless iris grower. We have a long growing season, although we have significant snow here. I love all types of lilies, especially the OTs. Orientals are marginal here, but I love them, so I keep trying. Some years are good, some years not so good. I have not encountered the lily beetle yet, but it sounds like I'm due, so I'll be watching for them.

liliums are probably my all time favorite, followed closely by peonies. I enjoy growing them from seed and hybridizing them the last few years. Lilies are easy to pop in anywhere and they go with everything! Lol.

Since I am the admin on this cubit, currently I am the one who will have to start forums. Unlike DG, this is called Lilies 'cubit' (rather than forum) . There are forums within the cubit, and then threads within the forum. Please anyone, feel free to start a new thread.

On DG, I did not post much on lilies, but read everything, and learned a lot. I know we have some of the most knowledgeable people in the world on the lilies forum at DG.

We wanted this to be a place to come to, should DG go down, so we wouldn't lose any of our wonderful lily people.

So here, I will again sit back and watch, and hope Magnolialover, Maniac, Ge, Joy, NYVoices, Nanny56, (and whoever else from DG lilies comes over) and starts threads on this forum.

If there are any other forums you would like, just ask and I'll add them.

Let's make this a great Lilies cubit! I see it's starting already Smiling

I might mention that I am Tracey. Some people call me Mags, some people call me mom and some people call me "running late", my family calls me Tc. I do adore liliums and as many times as I say I will not order as much this year, delivery time comes and I wonder why I thought I could do that.

Nice to see you all!

Hello!.......this is Grannyh checking in! I love Lilies, Daylilies, Iris....oh beans!...I love all the flowers, but those three are the ones I go nuts over! I'm always adding more and more to my already overstuffed beds!

I'm a backyard daylily hybridizer, but this year I have also started a mixture of trumpet Lily seeds that NILS so graciously sent me. Soon there will be no room for the tomatoes and peppers!.....oh, what will I do?!!

I love Dave's new site and I just know I'm going to be spending alot of time here!

If life gives you lemons, make another glass of lemonade and plant the lemon seeds! Smiling
