Just wondering how many more people are buying tickets in the second week before the drawing? Two weeks seems to be so long, but could be worth it if there are a lot of people buying tickets. If not, wouldn't one week be enough?

I think the window to buy tickets was opened because there are some folks who don't log on as much or don't see that the raffle is going on. This way, there can be no complaints that the raffle wasn't long enough to allow everyone to get a chance to see it and buy tickets. Like Christmas, it is the anticipation that makes it exciting!

It is so cute to see that little guy putting the slips of paper between his toes. What a happy time for everyone. I almost forget to hope that I may win.

We do the full 2 weeks to give time for everyone to see it and have a chance to get tickets. We continue to get new tickets sold every day all the way up til the end.

It also gives me more time to promote the companies who are sponsoring it. They are collectively donating hundreds of dollars of prizes each month and I want to maximize their exposure. So these past couple raffles I've been working extra hard on facebook to promote each company one by one but that means I need more time since I can't do them one right after the other.

I was low on acorns & spent all I could when the NARR was announced but I wanted to buy MORE tickets so I have *made* time to enter some things in the db that I haven't had time to since May. As I get enough for another ticket, I buy 1 so this 2 week buying window is working great for me.

Well, I'll pitch in to say that I had only 4.5 acorns when the NARR was posted and only got to buy my one ticket when I received an acorn as a tip just yesterday. So the wait was good for me, too!
