This is not how to impress your neighbors when you move next door? Thumbs down Grumbling

Don't get me wrong, I love dogs and other animals. But, I like my daylily's more than the neighbors dogs right now. Trampled were my 12 Apostles Lily, 'Prairie Wildfire' and 'Christmas Ribbon'...Thanks goodness the Daylily is a great plant and will survive most beatings or the Neighbors would have been shopping this morning... Whistling

Have a great day! I tip my hat to you.

I can hear ya, I have neighbour's cat... he thinks my daylilies beds are his litter.

I love animals but they should be kept under control. We are 10 families living here, all gardens and houses are attached one to each other, so there's no real boundary. neighbors let their cats go around. I have 5 cats, I wonder if they really realize what could happen if I should let them all free.

I get a lot of cats in my yard. I have a solution for the cats. Plant some catnip away from your flowers. I guarantee you the cats will choose that over the flowers. Dogs, don't know what to tell you there only that what Sabrina said that dog owners need to have control over their animals for sure.

Oh My Goodness!!! I would be so ticked off! I am like Cindy and have more trouble with cats than dogs here. But have had a couple trample thru with me coming right out the door to chase them off! My biggest pest is chipmunks and this year I seem to have a whole colony. Angry

Our next door neighbors would let their two dogs tear thru my gardens even though I complained. One day they were out there let their dogs out, the dogs went into one of my gardens and peed on my plants. I got very angry and told them to get them out and keep them out which they did, since then it has been much better.

And these neighbors just moved in..?
REALLY not a good first impression... Grumbling
Did they at least stop by to introduce themselves and to appologize for what their dogs did??

Yes, Daylilies are strong plants, but still, this shouldn't have happened Sighing!

I have a dog, 3 cats ánd 3 bunnies running around, but I make sure they can't bother anyone.

Thanks Guys! It felt good to get it off my chest and to receive the responses. Group hug

I spoke with the neighbor about the issue and she has apologized. The dog are in a privacy fenced back yard, but they were bored and dogs being dogs found a way to explore something different. The one positive out of it is that, my daylily's had finished their blooming, and the rebloom occurred before the first had ended. Oh, and I will be moving to my new home soon and I am potting everything up anyway. Hurray!

No dog's but Bambi may be the next culprit... uh oh! Rolling on the floor laughing

I'm happy the dog owner understood.
Let's see if you'll have to yell at Bambi then! Hilarious!
