I've never seen wild Crocosmia, never seen orange either. So beautiful! And I love the red hollyhocks, mine are only dark rose and deep purple, even black, but no reds in the bunch.

I hate to see finished delphiniums, that's one plant I can never get enough of. (How's that for poor grammar, 'Never end a sentence with a preposition,' she said throughout my 9th grade English class. But I went to her funeral when she passed so she'll never know, now will she? She lived to be 99, and I swear she never wrote an incorrect word in her entire life. She surely does haunt me, though.

We get Crocosmia growing close to the river and lake or moist areas,..mostly the orange color though i have come across some chocolate colored ones,..i keep kicking myself for not getting some but i had nothing to dig some up.

Over the weekend i moved all my Delphiniums to one side of the garden and the Foxgloves to just one area as they were spread out,..not idle hands this time it had to be done for next summer.

My spelling and grammar are gone to hell,..between the American spelling being different for many words we use to the grammar change from Gaelic to English

Irish or Gaelic which had to be learned in schools.

The mix up comes when translating,..the words are not in the same order,..for instance the word Sraid means Road,..it comes first in Irish,..but last in English.

Sraid O'Brian..Irish version
O'Brien Road..English version

That would be difficult. A little like French that way, where the descriptive often comes after the word.
