Often you can obtain seeds at reduced prices at this time of year.
So far I have obtained Petunia seeds, Tomatoe Seeds, poppy seed, and some vege seeds at lower price.
Check your favorite seed sources, and see if they are not having sales.
And because the seeds are less costly---purchase extras to send in to your favorite seed swaps.

Excellent reminder, Caroline. I love to take advantage of end-of-season sales. If there is something I really like, I try to buy it during the current season....I've had a few instances when I waited, then that variety was not available next year.
