I've recently been adding different bulbs to pots .. usually, most of my plants are 'garden plants' just because I find moving pots around with 'spent' growth to areas where they can't be seen a bit time consuming .. but last year I planted some 'Blue Stars' bulbs in a spare ceramic pot & now that it's Spring here in Australia, I'm glad I did!
Here's a pic of the result, with a bit of photo editing .. I may become more of a 'potty gardener' than I am already!

Dianne they are Ipheion uniflorum. Sorry don't know how to link from a Kindle. Have you smelled them? Wonderful fragrance!

I do similar in my deck planters. I often sprinkle white Allysum seed around the periphery which helps to fill and add a nice fragrance.

David I tried that this year too. I also added that crazy Sedum Acre. It filled my need for early color cover until the Allysum was ready to get going and bloom.
