I'm backing away now! I'm done with tall beards for the year! Thank god the temp dropped enough for me to not think twice about it. I have other stuff I need to take care of. Lol

Also where do you find the rules for this sale? Are there more than one or two of each kind listed? New to this......

I really recommend TB 'Center Line'. It is a Ghio.

But no room in the beds left.

I saw one on the list. I need more beds for the irises that I need to separate and I have a small priority box being shipped today that will have a few in it. I am not quite sure where I am even going to fit those in for the seanson. What we gonna do.

Richard, we are gonna do what we always do...... buy, beg or swap for more rhizomes than we have room for then fret over where our 'new babies' are gonna live. I have a small patch and am running out of room quickly. I made enough beds for the incoming ones this year but next year may be a year when I choose my least favorites, or the ones that are very alike, and re-home them. sigh

There is a spot I could do a bed, but trying to get to it to be able to water it is almost impossible. I have not even begun to acquire the ones I want which is about 30, but the one I want from the PNW sale is on my want list. Next year I am going go try to do trade on here for some on my want list.

There are two....maybe four I really like, but I still am planting and potting. Will have pretties growing in pots this winter.

Richard that sounds good. After growing an iris for 3-5 years they just have to be divided and those of us who do not have limitless space or, as I said before, time and energy, we need to re-home if we plan to add a new one. And so many new lovely ones are added every year.

Bonnie, I probably will reho.e some.next year in trades.

In the past, when the sale officially opens, there have been two separate 'sales' threads. One starting at an early hour of the morning (6:00PT, maybe?) with part of the offered rhizomes on that one. Then a second thread 12 hours or so later with the remainder of the rhizomes. I think available quantities are listed on each of these threads. Last year, whatever wasn't taken in the first thread was added to the second. Both are first come, first served.

After you see them bloom you can really get a feel for a bloom. I have a few that are similar to others I grow so I need to make some decisions. Iris gardens, valuable real estate measured by the rhizome system. smiles
