Can anyone help me with these? I had a very nice woman send them to me because she was wanting to trade for an iris I had she was looking for. She sent them to me but they have no names. I figured I would give it a shot to see if anyone else had these and had some idea of what they were.

Think the first one will be the most difficult, but seems to me as if I have seen the rest on the threads this year. I know some of the experienced folk will chime in. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

#3 looks like Aggressively Forward. #2 looks a little like Cupid's Arrow but not as wide and ruffled.

It is certainly by Sterling Innerst. Check with Greg. He has many of his irises.

Pink Attraction, Prissy Miss, the pink ones will be hard, lots of pinks...

I agree that number 3 looks like Aggressively Forward. I think number 2 might be Change Of Pace. The only concern I have is that your photo shows more purple in the beard, but that could be local conditions and also the camera angle.

I thought of Change of Pace too for the second one

I sure like Aggressively Forward -- why do I not have that one?

It's name is misleading, it's a pretty wimpy grower for me. I've had it many years and still only have a couple rhizomes of it.

Well -- maybe not. Greg's is more ruffly -- and doesn't have the fall stripe going all the way to the edge of the petal.................. Will I never know which Iris mine is????

I'm not acquainted with Innerst irises (must check my plant list)
so I'd like to know what there is about the irises in the photos that
mark them as Innerst? What characteristics? (and after checking, I see that
I have 3 of his: Sue Zee, Smart. and Black-Suited.)

Some of his irises grow well for me and some will not thrive. ???

Mary Ann - Exactitude is pretty bright when it opens, then fades a little bit, but the spot on the falls stays more yellow than yours. Mine has a centerline.




Yours could be Tennessee Gentleman, the falls are paler, and the flowers larger than Exactitude, and has a centerline too:

Jen - 5 does look like pictures I have seen of Smoke Rings. Mary Ann should know. Mine hasn't bloomed yet.

Leslie -- I think Tennessee Gentleman has more white on the fall. Mine has a wider border of maroon -- kind of crowds the white. Don't you think?

True, yours has a wider band. Yours is too dark to be Ominous Stranger... there sure are a lot of iris in this color category!
